On March 4, 2025, the School of Economics and Management successfully held the "On-Site Review Meeting for 2025 National Natural Science Foundation Project Applications" in Conference Room 4520, Guancheng Campus. The meeting specially invited Professor Huang Jinbo, Professor Liu Jiyun, and Professor Liu Chuan to serve as review experts, aiming to provide precise guidance on faculty members' application materials and enhance research competitiveness. Faculty members applying for National Natural Science Foundation projects from the School of Economics and Management participated.

During the review meeting, the faculty applicants reported on the core modules of their projects, including project topics, research content, technical routes, and innovation points. Professor Huang Jinbo, drawing on his extensive research experience, provided optimization suggestions for the logic, feasibility, and innovation of each project's technical route. He emphasized that the design of technical routes should focus on "combining problem orientation with disciplinary frontiers" and suggested that faculty further refine research steps to enhance the practical value and theoretical contribution of their projects. Professor Liu Jiyun, based on disciplinary development and the school's research planning, offered professional advice from the perspectives of topic value, team collaboration, and outcome transformation. She suggested that faculty pay attention to the sustainability and social impact of their projects. Professor Liu Chuan focused on the standardization of application writing, pointing out ambiguities in some faculty members' research objective statements, data support, and expected outcomes. He reminded that "precise academic expression is key to project competitiveness," and that rigorous academic language and a clear structural framework are needed to highlight the scientific value and social significance of the research.

The entire review meeting lasted nearly four hours. The experts' comments directly addressed pain points, providing both high-level directional guidance and detailed text revision suggestions. Through the experts' "diagnosis and consultation," the applicants not only clarified ideas for revising their application forms but also deepened their understanding of the National Natural Science Foundation's evaluation standards.

This meeting, through expert "diagnosis and prescription," significantly improved the quality of faculty project applications and research competitiveness. The School of Economics and Management will continue to foster an academic ecosystem that "values research and strengthens innovation," laying a solid foundation for achieving new breakthroughs in National Natural Science Foundation project approvals. The school will subsequently organize on-site review meetings for improving the quality of 2025 national-level humanities and social sciences projects, providing in-depth guidance on common issues and individual needs, and making every effort to promote the improvement of research outcomes.
