School of Economics and Management held a meeting to prepare for BGA's international accreditation

On March 27, the School of Economics and Management successfully held a preparation meeting for BGA international accreditation. The meeting was led by Mr. Hong Zhiyuan from the Department of Applied Economics. Mr. Hong delivered a special speech on three aspects: how to accelerate the school's BGA accreditation work, enhance the school's impact, and clarify the construction priorities for model programs and demonstration courses.

Mr. Hong Zhiyuan pointed out that the school's mission is: rooted in Dongguan, providing intellectual support to the locality, cultivating applied business elites who integrate engineering strengths, social responsibility, and innovation spirit. The school's vision is to become a regionally influential and sustainable applied business school.

He emphasized that, starting from the school's educational orientation and development strategy, guiding opinions and action plans for international accreditation should be formulated to promote the coordinated advancement of accreditation work across the school. Second, the training plans for model programs should be reshaped and upgraded, embedding the concepts of responsible management and sustainability into the program training plans. Third, in terms of course development, special modules should be designed, and in line with international accreditation requirements, course construction should be well implemented in model programs, defining the competency requirements of course design, strengthening outcome orientation, and enhancing assessment and supervision.

In addition, Mr. Hong Zhiyuan reviewed the school's experience of winning the "2022 Silver Award for Best Business School Impact" and the "2024 Highly Recommended Award for Best Business School Impact", summarizing the school's achievements in recent years. He expressed the hope that all faculty and staff would leverage the advantage of local projects and, through the model of teachers leading student teams, carry out more outstanding projects together, thereby expanding the influence of the School of Economics and Management.

This meeting provided a detailed introduction to the preparatory work required for BGA accreditation, laying a foundation for smoothly advancing the BGA international accreditation process, and is of great significance for comprehensively enhancing the school's internationalization level.
