On March 7, 2025, the 28th National Seminar on Capacity Building for Economics and Management Institutions was grandly held at the School of Economics and Business Administration, Chongqing University. The seminar attracted more than 100 deans, program directors, and discipline leaders from economics and management institutions across the country to discuss the latest trends in business education and paths for industry innovation. Vice Dean Li Wei and Associate Professor Chen Haidong from our school were invited to attend the seminar on behalf of the university.

During the seminar, the highly anticipated 2025 AMBA&BGA Global Business Excellence Awards China ceremony was held. Professor Wang Zhongming, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zhejiang University and Chief Advisor of AMBA&BGA China, presided over the award ceremony, lending an authoritative and professional touch to the event. The awards included one gold award, two bronze awards, and seven nominations, vividly demonstrating the brilliant achievements and innovative exploration spirit of China's business education community.
The seminar featured five roundtable dialogues focusing on core issues in business education. More than thirty deans of economics and management institutions engaged in lively exchanges on five key themes: sharing experiences from the 2025 Global Excellence Awards, strategic directions for business education in the new era, development practices of green business cases, innovative applications of AI technology in business education, and practices in BGA capacity building. The participants shared valuable practical experiences and unique insights based on their respective institutional characteristics and realities, presenting a feast of intellectual inspiration. Vice Dean Li Wei expressed his views during the roundtable dialogue, elaborating on the school's innovative measures and practical achievements in the field of business education.

At the seminar, colleagues from economics and management institutions across the country actively exchanged ideas and engaged in in-depth discussions, with sparks of wisdom continually emerging. They contributed numerous practical experiences and forward-looking reform strategies for the construction of new business disciplines in the era of artificial intelligence and the comprehensive enhancement of business school capabilities. The successful holding of this seminar not only provided a valuable communication platform for various institutions but also injected strong momentum for advancing China's business education towards a new glorious chapter.
