The Transition Meeting of the School Alumni Association Council Was Successfully Conducted

On the afternoon of April 20, the School Alumni Association held its transition meeting in Room 306 of the Conference Center on Songshan Lake Campus.

Yang Zhicheng, Deputy Head of the Preparatory Group for the new council, reported on the preparation status. The preparatory group actively visited alumni, solicited opinions and suggestions on the development of the Alumni Association, made continuous improvements, and drafted the list of candidates for the new council.

Su Zhengcong, Secretary-General of the previous council, reported on the contributions made by the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management in serving and promoting the school's educational work since the establishment of the first council, and presented the "Financial Work Report of the First Council of the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management, Dongguan University of Technology."

Wang Mingbo, Deputy Director of the Employment, Entrepreneurship and Alumni Affairs Department, read out the "Approval Letter for the Transition of the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management, Dongguan University of Technology."

Subsequently, the council members deliberated on the "Draft Work Report of the First Council" and the "Draft Financial Work Report of the First Council," and approved the "Draft List of the Second Council Members" and the "Draft List of the Second Supervisory Committee Members" by acclamation.

Liu Zhihe, an alumnus of the 2001 class majoring in Enterprise Management and newly elected President, delivered an inaugural speech. He thanked the university and the council members for their trust and support, and stated that he would lead the new council to work hard in three aspects: improving mechanisms and uniting alumni; strengthening services and taking proactive actions; remembering the mission and sharing responsibilities. He aims to build the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management into a solid platform that unites and serves alumni, promoting win-win development for both alumni and the alma mater.

Lu Xiaojun, Party Secretary of the School, on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome to the alumni participating in this event. He pointed out that alumni resources are a valuable asset for the development of the university and the school. Only by deepening and solidifying alumni work can further interaction between the two sides be promoted and the influence of the Alumni Association be expanded. He also expressed hope that the new council would contribute to promoting talent cultivation at the school, and that the school and the Alumni Association would move forward hand in hand to create a better tomorrow.
