The 2023 Pre-Service Training Teaching and Research Internship Assessment for Faculty Successfully Completed

According to the Guiding Opinions on Pre‑job Training for Teachers in Guangdong Higher Education Institutions, in order to further enhance the teaching enthusiasm of our faculty, improve their teaching and research capabilities, refine teaching methods, and raise teaching quality, our school successfully held the assessment of the young teacher pre‑job training on the afternoon of May 16 in Room 3209. The assessment was conducted with a panel consisting of Associate Dean Li Wei of the School of Economics and Management, Professor Duan Xiufang, Professor Chen Haidong, as well as other teachers participating in the assessment.

All teachers participating in the assessment were full of energy. They demonstrated solid teaching abilities and good professional ethics in areas such as delivering course syllabi, blackboard writing, and presenting teaching PPTs. They also showed their good research practice capabilities through the form of teaching/research project applications. During the teaching demonstration session, the teachers effectively integrated the characteristics of their courses, appropriately incorporated elements of "curriculum ideology and politics," and provided numerous examples, presenting their excellent teaching style in a clear and engaging manner. The panel of judges commented on each teacher’s lecture and offered valuable suggestions.

After the assessment, Associate Dean Li Wei summarized the event. He noted that this assessment was very meaningful in practice, serving both as a test of individual teachers' capabilities and as a showcase of the overall quality of the faculty. Through this assessment, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the importance of building teachers' teaching capabilities. Only by continuously improving teachers’ professional competence and educational quality can we provide a better learning environment for students. He hoped that the teachers participating in the assessment would continue to make efforts in their future teaching and research work, striving for breakthroughs and innovations.

    This assessment achieved significant results, setting requirements and establishing benchmarks for young teachers in our school. The young teachers can now better improve and enhance their teaching and research abilities. At the same time, our school will take this assessment as an opportunity to continue strengthening teacher training and research practice activities in future educational and teaching endeavors, enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of teacher teaching development, continuously improve teachers’ teaching skills and educational concepts, and make persistent efforts to cultivate more outstanding talents.
