On November 23, 2024, Associate Dean Li Wei of the School of Economics and Management and Director Hong Zhiyuan of the Accreditation Office were invited to Kuala Lumpur to attend the AMBA&BGA 2024 Asia Pacific Annual Conference. The conference was co-hosted by the University of Malaya and Universiti Utara Malaysia, bringing together numerous business school experts, scholars, and educational leaders from the Asia-Pacific region to exchange the latest achievements in business education and explore future development directions.


AMBA (Association of MBAs) and BGA (Business Graduates Association) are globally renowned accreditation bodies for business schools, dedicated to improving the educational quality and management standards of business schools. Under the theme of "Innovation and Sustainability," the conference covered a wide range of cutting-edge topics, including the digital transformation of business schools, corporate social responsibility, and cross-cultural management. Associate Dean Li Wei and Director Hong Zhiyuan participated in a panel discussion on "Business School Accreditation and Quality Assurance," sharing with other attendees the experience and achievements gained during the school's accreditation process. He pointed out that accreditation is not only a recognition of the school's teaching quality but also an important means of enhancing the school's international competitiveness.
During the conference, Associate Dean Li Wei and Director Hong Zhiyuan engaged in extensive exchanges with educational experts and business leaders from around the world, including those from the University of Malaya, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Asia Pacific University (Japan), and Queensland University of Technology. They discussed future trends in business education and reached several preliminary cooperation intentions. These exchanges and collaborations will inject new vitality into the international development of the School of Economics and Management, further enhancing the school's academic influence and global reputation.
