On November 23, the "2024 Annual Conference of Quality Professionals and the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Excellent Quality Management Exchange Conference" was held in Baiyun District, Guangzhou. Nearly 500 renowned experts in the quality field and quality professionals gathered together to discuss the development path of enterprises under the new circumstances and to empower enterprise innovation and high-quality development. Ms. Jin Fenghua, a faculty member from the Department of Management Engineering of our school, attended the conference and had in-depth exchanges with participating experts on topics such as quality management talent cultivation and standardization management.

The conference brought together many prominent figures and was full of valuable insights. The discussions focused on topics such as digital transformation, digital quality management, AI empowerment, lean production, and new quality productivity, featuring in-depth speeches and exchanges. Professor Fugee Tsung, Chair Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and Director of the Institute of Industrial Information and Intelligence, delivered a keynote speech titled "Industrial Information and Intelligence Shaping the Future of Quality," demonstrating the broad prospects of industrial information and intelligent technologies in shaping the future of quality. Mr. Peng Yongtian, Lean Intelligent Manufacturing Director of DeRUCCI Health Sleep Co., Ltd., gave a presentation on "Efficiency Improvement Brought to the Brand by DeRUCCI's Lean Production Promotion," sharing the advanced practical experience of how DeRUCCI has comprehensively improved quality control and enhanced brand competitiveness through lean production.

Through this "2024 Annual Conference of Quality Professionals and the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Excellent Quality Management Exchange Conference," our faculty member gained insights into the analysis and judgments of cutting-edge quality issues from renowned scholars in the industry, learned about hot topics in quality management research, and conducted in-depth exchanges with participating experts, scholars, and corporate representatives on the latest developments and frontiers in quality management. This has opened up new ideas for the future revision of the quality management talent cultivation plan.
