AMBA & BGA recently announced the shortlist for the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2027. The School of Economics and Management at Dongguan University of Technology has been shortlisted for the BGA Business School Impact Award 2027.

The AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards, often dubbed the “Oscars of business education”, are open to AMBA & BGA member institutions worldwide. They recognise the outstanding impact, innovation, integrity and social responsibility demonstrated by member institutions and their students, alumni and employers in delivering high-quality business education. In 2026, business schools at a number of Chinese universities submitted entries. Ultimately, seven submissions from six institutions were shortlisted: the School of Economics and Management at DGUT, the International Business School at Beijing Foreign Studies University, the School of Business Administration at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, the Business School at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, the Business School at Shantou University, and the School of Management at Zhejiang University of Technology.

In the BGA Business School Impact Award 2027 category, other shortlisted institutions include BSBI School of Business and Innovation, London School of Business & Finance, GITAM School of Business, Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, and POLIMI School of Management. The winning institution will be announced at the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards ceremony in London, United Kingdom, in January 2027.

This latest recognition follows the School’s BGA Business School Impact Award – Silver in 2022, Highly Commended recognition in 2024, and successful attainment of BGA Accreditation in 2025. Being shortlisted again for the BGA Business School Impact Award in 2027 is the culmination of years of sustained effort and a strong endorsement of the School’s educational quality and level of internationalisation. This series of honours not only highlights the School’s achievements in internationalisation and the development of New Business Education, but also marks an important milestone in the University’s advancement of the New Liberal Arts.
