On the afternoon of March 27, the monthly faculty assembly of the School of Economics and Management for March was successfully held in Room 4416 at Guancheng Campus. Dean Liu Jiyun and Associate Dean Li Wei attended the meeting.
Associate Dean Li Wei outlined work arrangements concerning teaching management, curriculum development, and BGA international accreditation. He emphasized that the school will strictly enforce teaching quality, strengthen examination supervision, and simultaneously implement AI-generated content detection technology to assist faculty in maintaining thesis quality standards. In terms of promoting student employment, the school will continue to refine its talent cultivation plan, facilitate the translation of academic achievements into practical applications by optimizing teaching and research efforts, and provide strong support for high-quality student employment. He hopes that all faculty members will develop a sense of collaborative synergy to help economics and management students achieve high-quality employment outcomes.

Regarding curriculum development, Associate Dean Li Wei stated that the college will follow the new qualification review plan discussed by the university to include provincial first-class courses within the scope of provincial first-class teaching reform projects, comprehensively demonstrating the teaching outcomes of the college's English-medium courses. At the same time, the college encourages faculty members to actively participate in teaching competitions in order to enhance teaching standards. With respect to BGA international accreditation, he reiterated that aligning the curriculum system and teaching quality with international standards is of great significance to the college's development. The college will accelerate its preparations for BGA accreditation to make thorough preparations for the expert team's campus visit and related seminars.
Dean Liu Jiyun concluded by pointing out that the college should promote program development, curriculum reform, and teaching quality assurance with BGA accreditation as a goal, with particular emphasis on educational concepts that integrate green manufacturing, social responsibility, and other elements aligned with Dongguan's industrial characteristics. She emphasized that BGA accreditation is not only the key for economics and management disciplines to address the "liberal arts crisis" brought about by the impact of artificial intelligence, but also represents international recognition of the college's educational standards and social influence. The successful attainment of BGA accreditation will significantly enhance the college's core competitiveness and provide strong support for building a "business school for cultivating application-oriented innovative talents."

The successful convening of this faculty assembly has added new momentum to the high-quality development process of our college. All faculty members will work together to meet the challenge of BGA accreditation and help the School of Economics and Management become a sustainable, application-oriented business school with significant regional influence.
