Vice Dean Li Wei and Delegation Invited to Attend the 28th National Seminar on Capacity Building for Economics and Management Institutions

On March 7, 2025, the 28th National Conference on Capacity Building for Economics and Management Schools was grandly opened at the School of Economics and Business Administration at Chongqing University. This prestigious event attracted over a hundred deans, program directors, and academic leaders from economics and management schools across the country to discuss the latest trends in business education and pathways to industry innovation. Associate Dean Li Wei and Associate Professor Chen Haidong from our college attended the conference as representatives at the invitation.

During the conference, the highly anticipated 2025 AMBA & BGA Global Business School Excellence Awards China Region Ceremony was held in grand fashion. The ceremony was personally hosted by Professor Wang Chongming, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zhejiang University and Chief Advisor of AMBA & BGA China Region, lending an authoritative and professional touch to the event. The awards presented included one Gold Award, two Bronze Awards, and seven Nomination Awards, vividly showcasing the remarkable achievements and spirit of innovative exploration within China's business education community.

This conference featured five carefully arranged roundtable dialogues, focusing on in-depth discussions of core issues in business education. More than thirty deans of economics and management schools engaged in lively exchanges around five key topics: sharing experiences from the 2025 Global Excellence Awards winners, strategic directions for business education in the new era, development practices of green business cases, innovative applications of AI technology in business education, and BGA capacity-building practices. Drawing on their respective institutions' characteristics and actual circumstances, the participating deans shared valuable practical experiences and unique insights, presenting attendees with an intellectually stimulating feast of ideas. Associate Dean Li Wei shared his perspectives during a roundtable dialogue, elaborating on the college's innovative initiatives and practical outcomes in the field of business education.

Throughout the conference, colleagues from economics and management schools across the country engaged in active exchanges and in-depth discussions, with sparks of wisdom continuously colliding. They contributed numerous practical experiences and forward-looking reform strategies for the development of new business disciplines in the era of artificial intelligence and the comprehensive enhancement of business school capabilities. The successful holding of this conference not only established a valuable communication platform for various institutions but also injected strong momentum into advancing China's business education toward a new chapter of brilliance.
